The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia has found that all 18 Pakistani pilot license holders currently employed in Malaysia have been verified as valid by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority following their license suspension earlier this month, so they have been reinstated to fly in Malaysia. Their licenses had been suspended due to doubts about validity of the licenses.

India’s Director General Of Civil Aviation issued AD circular DGCA-25012(07)/1/2020-AW, providing guidelines for demonstrating six months of maintenance experience in the previous 24 months, requiring that the person has worked in an aircraft or component maintenance environment and has either exercised the privileges of the certification authorization or has carried out maintenance on at least some of the aircraft types or aircraft group systems specified in the particular certification authorization.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2020-0166 for Airbus A350-1041s and -941s, requiring inspection and repair of seat track extremities, effective Aug. 10, 2020. EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2020-0169 for Airbus A350-1041s and -941s, requiring inspection and modification of bleed gimbals at wing to pylon interfaces, effective Aug. 10, 2020.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2020-0167 for Airbus A350-941s, requiring a software update on flight control and guidance systems for ram air turbine performance and modification of electrical power supply to air generation system ram air actuators, effective Aug. 10, 2020. EASA has issued safety information bulletin 2020-13 concerning the provision of ground-handling services at airports.

EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 20-114 for Airbus A321-211s, -231s and -232s, requiring inspection of door frame drill starts, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive issuance. EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 20-115 for Airbus A318s, A319s and A320s, requiring inspection of the fuselage skin above lap joints, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive issuance.

EASA has cancelled airworthiness directive 2017-0198-CN for Rolls-Royce Deutschland BR700-710A2-20s and C4-11s, requiring replacement of engine electronic controller firebox assembly. EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 20-116 for Pilatus PC-24s, requiring inspection and replacement of engine attachment hardware, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive AD 2020-15-12 for all Rolls-Royce Deutschland Trent 1000-A2s, -AE2s, -C2s, -CE2s, -D2, -E2, -G2s, -H2s, -J2s, -K2s and -L2s, requiring initial and repetitive ultrasonic or visual inspections of the intermediate-pressure compressor stage 1 rotor blades, stage 2 rotor blades, and shaft stage 2 dovetail posts, removal of any cracked parts from service, new inspections based on updated inspection thresholds and intervals for these parts, plus an optional terminating action and amended asymmetric power condition for engine inspection, and an inspection after a cabin depressurization event, effective Aug. 31, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2020-15-08 for all Rolls-Royce Deutschland Trent 1000-As, -A2s, -AEs, -AE2s, -Cs, -C2s, -CEs, -CE2s, -Ds, -D2s, -Es, -E2s, -Gs, -G2s, -Hs, -H2s, -J2s, -K2s and -L2s, requiring removing the low-pressure compressor front case from service and replacing it with a part eligible for installation, effective Aug. 31, 2020. FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2020-15-10 for certain Airbus A350-941s, requiring inspecting the diagonal strut for correct installation and for correct locking of the lock washers, and corrective actions if necessary, effective Aug. 14, 2020.

FAA has issued AD 2020-15-14 for Boeing 747-400s and -400Fs, requiring repetitive inspections of the longeron extension fittings for cracking, repetitive high-frequency eddy current inspections of any modified, repaired or replaced longeron extension fitting for cracking, and applicable on-condition actions, plus, for certain additional airplanes, repetitive inspections of the longeron extension fittings for cracking and repair if necessary, effective Sept. 3, 2020. FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2020-16-13 for certain Rolls-Royce AE 3007As, A1s, A1/1s, A1/2s, A1/3s, A1Es, A1Ps and A3s, requiring replacement of affected 3rd-stage compressor wheels, effective Aug. 14, 2020.

The government of the Russian Federation has decided to resume international air service with a number of states. From Aug. 1, 2020, flights from the airports of Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don to London, UK, Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey, and Sansibar, Tanzania, are resumed. From Aug. 10, flights from these same Russian cities to Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum, Turkey, are also resumed.
