An “electric sky jeep” project to develop low-cost transport to bring medical service providers to remote areas has moved forward with its first test flight.
Flexjet, a global provider of subscription-based private aviation, will open three additional private jet terminals, bringing its total to eight within the U.S.
The project will involve Swift Xi, the Japanese subsidiary of U.S. aerospace technology development company Swift Engineering, and Swift Tactical Systems.
The grant is of one 19, totaling A$44 million, awarded under the latest round of the Australian government’s Cooperative Research Centers Projects program.
