Emirates, which brought an Airbus A380 to Orlando International Airport on September 1, 2015 for its launch of daily nonstop service to Dubai, could generate more than 1,400 new jobs to the Florida city, the airport’s chairman said.
The Dubai – Orlando route will be flown on a daily basis using a Boeing 777-200LR, although Emirates will deploy its flagship Airbus A380-800 on the inaugural rotation on September 1, 2015; the first time the Super Jumbo will operate a scheduled passenger service into Orlando International Airport.
Frontier Airlines is one of a number of budget operators across the glove to introduce the variant, the largest member of the Airbus A320 Family, into its fleet this year.
In its formal application, Delta plans to introduce a four times weekly service on the route, with its strategic alliance with GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes extending the reach of this service to 20 interior Brazil destinations via Guarulhos International Airport. The flight is due to commence from December 19, 2015 and will be operated by a Boeing 767-300 aircraft, with 35 seats in Delta One, 32 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 143 seats in the Main Cabin.
From October 23, 2015, the Irish carrier will commence 16 weekly flights between Liverpool and Dublin on a 174 seat Airbus A320, offering ideal connections onto Aer Lingus flights to North America via Dublin.

The introduction of a daily Emirates link between Dubai and Orlando will bring an estimated $100 million economic impact for Central Florida, according to Frank Kruppenbacher, chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, who described the arrival of the UAE carrier as “the biggest move forward for our airport and this community.”

In its application to the US DOT, JetBlue says it intends to offer a twice daily link to Mexico City’s Benito Juárez International Airport from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and a daily service from Orlando International Airport. Both routes will be served with 150-seat Airbus A320 equipment.
