
Ametek MRO Agreements
Ametek MRO signed a memorandum of understanding with Liebherr-Aerospace to cooperate on landing gear MRO services for Embraer E-Jet E1 operators in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. The companies say the partnership enables Liebherr-Aerospace to outsource contracted landing gear work to Ametek in Ramsgate, UK.
AFI KLM E&M also renewed its long-term component maintenance contract with Antavia Ametek MRO.

Joramco Airline, OEM Agreements
Joramco signed a slew of maintenance agreement with European airlines. It signed its first maintenance agreement with euroAtlantic Airways, under which it will perform heavy checks, paint and placard installation on two of its Boeing 777s. It signed its first maintenance agreement on Boeing 787s operated by TUI, through which it will perform heavy maintenance checks. It will also perform C checks, as well as main landing gear and engine replacement for MNG Airlines’ Airbus A300 and A330 cargo aircraft, and it will also perform a major structural repair on aircraft from flyadeal’s A320neo fleet.
Joramco also signed a memorandum of understanding with Spirit AeroSystems to cooperate in providing a range of repairs and services for composite and metallic aerostructures. The companies plan to form a team of engineers and experts that will support customer needs and develop new repair processes.

STS Aviation Services Growth
Passenger-to-freighter conversion startup Mammoth Freighters selected STS Aviation Services to be first European partner on performing Boeing 777 conversions. STS will perform the conversions for Mammoth’s 777-200LR and 777-300ER aircraft from its facility in Manchester, UK starting in mid-2024.
STS also announced it will begin MRO operations at its leased facility in Manchester, UK starting in November. It is targeting the creation of 200 new jobs at the facility by 2023.
To help boost workforce pipeline, STS also signed a three-year agreement with Part 147 training provider CATTS, through which STS will integrate its training program into its UK operations.

Safran Signs Nacelle, Landing Gear Contracts
Safran Nacelles signed NacelleLife agreements with Air Greenland and Icelandic carrier Play. The 12-year agreement with Play covers support of CFM LEAP-1A nacelles on its Airbus A320neos. The 12-year Air Greenland agreement will cover support of nacelles on its A330neos.
Safran Landing Systems signed a five-year Landing Life service agreement with AJW Group, through which Safran will perform component repairs on landing gears, braking and steering system equipment across its network in Europe, Asia and the Americas. ITA Airways also selected Safran Landing Systems wheels and carbon brakes to equip its A350 and A320neo fleets.

Lufthansa Technik
Lufthansa Technik signed a 10-year Total Component Support (TCS) agreement with Condor to supply components for its new Airbus A330neo fleet. The contract comes into effect on Jan. 1, 2023 and also includes various parts-pooling and logistics services.
It also announced TCS contracts with Wizz Air, Frontier and Volaris, which it says comprise support for approximately 1,000 A320 family aircraft.

Iberia Maintenance Joins P&W GTF MRO Network
Pratt & Whitney selected Iberia Maintenance to be the newest services provider in its GTF MRO network. The authorization will enable Iberia to service the GTF PW1100G-JM engine from its facility in Madrid.

AFI KLM E&M Engine, Components and AAM Agreements
AFI KLM E&M signed a slew of agreements at the show related to maintenance and new technology. These included a CFM Branded Service Agreement for LEAP-1A and -1B engines; component support agreements with Aeroitalia and Norse Atlantic Airways; and memoranda of understanding with advanced air mobility OEMs Ascendance Flight Technologies and Ampaire. SR Technics
SR Technics signed a LEAP-1B General Support License Agreement with CFM International, which enables it to offer a range of MRO services for the engine type. It received approval to service the LEAP engine platform from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) earlier this year through the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation, and it was granted FAA approval through its bilateral agreement with EASA.

Revima Deploys New Tech, Repair Capabilities
Revima announced its deployment of artificial-intelligence based software from Lokad to optimize its supply chain operations. It says the software will help it reduce turnaround time for APU and landing gear repairs, as well as optimize inventory costs for spare parts.
Its Revima Engine Parts Repair subsidiary also announced capability expansions for turbine and APU components, as well as exhaust systems. To support the new repair offerings, it has invested in new equipment such as a full integrated atmospheric plasma spraying booth, robotic arc welding equipment and a five-axis CNC milling machine.

Skyways Technics, Prodex Partnership
Regional aircraft MRO specialist Skyways Technics signed an agreement with French supply chain specialist Prodex Aerospace Solutions. Through the companies’ logistic, warehousing and distribution partnership, Skyways Technics will outsource the distribution and stock of aircraft rotables to Prodex in Paris, which it says will help it reach its client base more efficiently.

HAECO Global Engine Support Deploys ELMS Aviation Software
HAECO Global Engine Support announced its deployment of ELMS Aviation’s compliance and competence software. It says the software will be used to improve its ability to monitor and record team competency, training and authorizations efficiently and accurately.
