ORLANDO—Bombardier introduced a three-zone Executive cabin for its Global 7500 at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), giving buyers an option of a three- or four-zone cabin, plus the addition of a versatile Nuage cube for use as a seat or small table.
The Executive cabin design offers three separate workspaces, including an office suite, conference suite and C-suite. The configuration was designed for collaboration, productivity and networking with other passengers, the company says. Each workspace is 12 ft. in length.
Bombardier also unveiled the new Nuage Cube, a movable piece of furnishing that can be used as a seat, stool or small table and matches the Nuage business jet seats in the aircraft. When not in use, the Nuage Cube will be stored in a credenza and secured for takeoff and landing.
The three-zone interior will hold 13 passengers, similar to that of the four-zone aircraft. Bombardier designed the three-zone cabin from feedback from customers seeking more room to work. The office suite area will be equipped with four Nuage seats, each with a large side table. The Conference Suite features a conference grouping and large credenza with an integrated flip-up monitor for videoconferences or presentations, while the C-Suite provides a location to review a presentation, host a private conversation or to relax and freshen up.
Both three- and four-suite options feature the Soleil circadian-based cabin lighting system to help combat jet lag, cabin entertainment control and connectivity through the Touch CMS and OLED touch dial, Bombardier’s l’Opera directional audio sound system and a 4K monitor.
Bombardier announced the Global 8000 during the European Business Aviation Association Conference & Exhibition in Geneva in May as a four-zone aircraft, with entry into service in 2025. Eventually, the Global 8000 will replace the Global 7500.
“This is clearly the flagship of a new era,” says Bombardier President and CEO Eric Martel, “Clearly, we are listening to our customers. People are helping us to shape the world together.
The Global 8000 has a range of 8,000 nm, with a low cabin altitude and a top speed of Mach 0.94.
“With the introduction of the new Executive cabin, Bombardier once again is showcasing that our team is second to none when it comes to continuously improving cabin design on its world-renowned and record-setting aircraft,” Martel says. “The new Executive cabin provides Global 7500 and Global 8000 customers with the productivity configuration they need to transform their aircraft into the ultimate business tool—the most impressive corporate purpose-built business jets in the skies today.”
