FEAM Plans Further U.S. And Europe Expansions

FEAM Aero has announced plans to bolster its MRO network by adding several new line maintenance stations in the U.S. and Europe.

In the U.S., FEAM will launch line maintenance operations at Chicago Rockford International Airport, Sacramento International Airport and Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.

As part of its European expansion, which FEAM cemented through its September 2021 acquisition of UK-based maintenance company BOSA, it now plans to add two more line stations at London Gatwick Airport and Dublin Airport in Ireland.

Currently, FEAM has around 12 maintenance facilities across Europe, which includes its acquisition earlier this year of six line stations formerly operated by Danish company Northern Aerotech.

The addition of the new line stations increases its total number of locations globally to 52.

The MRO specialist says both the domestic and international expansions will result in new job creation.

It estimated 40 full-time direct hire A&P mechanic positions will be created at the U.S. line stations and approximately 15 new full-time positions of P66 licensed engineers between the two newest Europe locations.

"London Gatwick has always been a strategic target for our organization due to the limited third party line maintenance offering at the site," says Dayne Hoskins, director of operations and sales for BOSA. "Similarly, the timing aligned with our new station in Dublin, which marks our second location in Mainland Europe."
