The Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand has issued continuing airworthiness notice 14-003 on MS21042L3 nuts appearing to lose their self-locking function during installation, recommending that where new MS21042 self-locking nuts are used, engineers should consider applying at least one re-torque cycle on initial installation to confirm the retention of self-locking properties.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-10-06 for certain CFM LEAP-1Bs, requiring for engine maintenance messages related to the pressure transducer and, depending on the results of the check, replacement of pressure sub-system unit before further flight, and repetitive checks for faults prior to each flight until the unit has accumulated at least 15 hr. of electrical power. For an engine not in service, this directive requires applying electrical power to the unit before further flight, effective May 10, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-09-06 for all Boeing 737-600s, -700s, -700Cs, -800s, -900s and -900ERs, requiring repetitive inspections for cracking of the left- and right-hand side outboard chords of frame fittings and failsafe straps at a certain station around eight fasteners, and repair if any cracking is found, effective June 8, 2021.
