FAA has issued emergency airworthiness directive 2021-05-51 for Pratt & Whitney PW4074s, PW4074Ds, PW4077s, PW4077Ds, PW4084Ds, PW4090s and PW4090-3s, requiring thermal acoustic image inspection for cracks in certain 1st-stage low-pressure compressor blades and removal of those blades that fail inspection, effective on receipt.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-02-07 for all GEnx-1B64s, -1B64/P1s, -1B64/P2s, -1B67s, -1B67/P1s, -1B67/P2s, -1B70s, -1B70/75/P1s, -1B70/75/P2s, -1B70/P1s, -1B70/P2s, -1B70C/P1s, -1B70C/P2s, -1B74/75/P1s, -1B74/75/P2s, -1B76/P2s and -1B76A/P2s, requiring initial and repetitive visual inspections of the cushioned loop clamp (p-clamp) and, depending on the results of the inspection, a spot fluorescent penetrant inspection of the outer fuel manifold and, depending on results, possible replacement of the outer fuel manifold, effective March 30, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-03-02 for certain GE CF6-80C2A1s, -80C2A2s, -80C2A3s, -80C2A5s, -80C2A5F, -80C2A8s, -80C2B1s, -80C2B1Fs, -80C2B2s, -80C2B2Fs, -80C2B4s, -80C2B4Fs, -80C2B5Fs, -80C2B6s, -80C2B6Fs, -80C2B6FAs, -80C2B7F, -80C2B8Fs and -80C2D1Fs, requiring initial and repetitive shim checks of the hydro-mechanical unit, main engine control idler adapter on the accessory gearbox assembly and, depending on results, possible replacement of the inserts on the idler adapter or, as a terminating action, a protrusion check and a pull-out test, and the replacement of inserts on the idler adapter that fail either test, effective March 31, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-02-19 for certain Boeing 787-8s, -9s, -10s, requiring repetitive general visual inspections of the bilge barriers located in the forward and aft cargo compartments for disengaged or damaged decompression panels, reinstallation of disengaged but undamaged decompression panels, and replacement of damaged decompression panels, effective March 8, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-02-06 for all Boeing Company 787-8s, -9s and 10s, requiring revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations; it also includes a further airworthiness limitation that applies only to certain airplanes, requiring replacing or modifying certain engine fire control panels, which terminates the revised airworthiness limitation added in this final rule when a certain condition is met, effective March 30, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-02-15 for certain Boeing 747-100s, -100Bs, -100B SUDs, -200Bs, -200Cs, -200Fs, -300s, -400s, -400Ds, -400Fs and 747SRs, requiring repetitive replacement of certain parts; a general visual inspection to determine production configuration for certain parts; a repetitive lubrication of certain parts and a repetitive general visual inspection of certain parts for any exuding grease; repetitive detailed inspections of certain parts for loose or missing attachment bolts, cracks or bushing migration, cracks or gouges, or broken, binding, or missing rollers; repetitive detailed inspections of certain parts for cracks or corrosion; repetitive lubrication; and on-condition actions if necessary, effective March 30, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-01-04 for all Boeing 737s, requiring an inspection, a measurement, or a records check of upper aft corner stop fitting assembly of the forward entry door to determine the part number, and replacement if a certain part is found, effective March 29, 2021.
