The Civil Aviation Authority of Australia has issued airworthiness bulletin 34-008 Issue on the calibration of compasses for all aircraft, intended to assist with calibrating and compensating aircraft magnetic compasses and providing data on the maximum allowable deviations enabling the compass to be maintained to its type design.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-13-18 for all Boeing 737s powered by LEAP-1Bs, requiring replacing each spring door opening system actuator that has a certain part number with a new actuator, and verifying that new safety markers are installed in the proper locations, effective Sept. 3, 2021.

FAA has issued special airworthiness information bulletin AIR-21-08, advising on the flight safety risk to airplanes that uplift jet fuel contaminated with diesel exhaust fluid, or uplift jet fuel using refueling equipment that was exposed to this fluid, recommending owners of airplanes experiencing difficulties with this fluid consult with the original equipment manufacturers of their airplane, engine and auxiliary power unit to determine appropriate inspection and corrective maintenance actions.

FAA has issued special airworthiness information bulletin AIR-21-12 for Boeing 737-600s, -700s, -700Cs, -800s, -900s and-900ERs series (737 NG) airplanes, warning that thrust reversers on which the integrity test required by airworthiness directive 2019-18-03 is done may not deploy due to being in a state with residual load when commanded the first time after the test is done.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-15-12 for all Pratt & Whitney PW210A and PW210S model turboshaft engines, requiring use of the manual low-cycle fatigue counting method in place of the automated damage tracking system counting method to determine the number of cycles accrued by the impeller and high-pressure compressor rotor, effective Sept. 9, 2021.
