FAA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 2019-14-06 for certain Airbus A319-111s, -112s, -115s, and -131s and A320-214s and -232s, requiring a repetitive magnetic particle inspection of affected main landing gear sliding tubes for discrepancies, a one-time Barkhausen noise inspection or alternative non-destructive test inspection and a detailed visual inspection of affected main landing gear sliding tube axles for discrepancies and corrective actions if necessary, as specified in an EASA airworthiness directive, effective August 23, 2019.
