Delta TechOps
U.S. maintenance provider Delta TechOps joined the network in 2019 and completed its first maintenance work on a PW1100G engine in September of this year. The induction was a heavy maintenance visit where the engine was almost fully disassembled to perform targeted hardware upgrades. The full disassembly allowed for Delta TechOps teams to train, achieve certification to perform PW1100G-JM procedures, and start development of in-house repair capability, the company says.

EME Aero Kicks Off PW1000G Engine Services
EME Aero, the Lufthansa Technik-MTU Aero Engines joint venture, joined the GTF network this year. From its facility in Poland, which is designed to accommodate up to 450 shop visits annually, EME Aero has so far re-delivered approximately 21 PW1100G engines.

Air India Engineering Services was confirmed as a Pratt GTF MRO provider in March of this year. AIESL will provide the maintenance services for Indian operators of the PW1100G-JM engine variant from its shop in Mumbai. At the time, the company says it intended to adopt a phased approach for implementing the engine repairs. First, it started with engine upgrade and module exchange capabilities.

OGMA

Alverca, Portugal-based OGMA became a Pratt & Whitney-authorized maintenance center for the geared turbofan engine in November. OGMA will invest €74 million ($87.4 million) over the next four years to set up the capability to maintain, repair and overhaul the PW1100G-JM engines that power the Airbus A320neo family.
