
AFI KLM E&M Contracts
AFI KLM E&M signed several agreements at MRO Americas 2023. AFI KLM E&M American subsidiary Barfield renewed its repair service agreement with AerCap Materials for three years. Barfield also signed a two-year component repair agreement with AerFin to support the carrier’s fleet of Airbus A320 and Embraer E170 and E190 aircraft.
It signed an agreement with Ecuadorian flag carrier Equair to provide engine maintenance services for six CFM56-7B engines powering the carrier's three Boeing 737-700 aircraft. This follows the initial component service agreement between AFI KLM E&M and Equair.
Lastly, it signed a memorandum of understanding with SkyThread to further strengthen its partnership around its SkyThread for Parts technology for the management of aircraft component parts.

Revima, Liebherr-Aerospace Collaborate For Nose Landing MRO in Asia-Pacific
Revima Landing Gear Services Asia Pacific and Liebherr-Aerospace signed a memorandum of understanding to provide nose landing gear MRO services for Airbus A350 aircraft of airlines operating in the Asia-Pacific region. It says the new cooperation aims to expand the Liebherr Landing Gear Service network in the region and will accelerate the ramp-up of nose landing gear overhaul capabilities in the region.

SR Technic, Atlas Air, Kuehne+Nagel Form “Sustainable Engine Alliance”
SR Technic, Atlas Air and Kuehne+Nagel have formed the “Sustainable Engine Alliance” to set new industry standards for low-carbon aircraft engine supply chain, in line with science-based target initiative (SBTi) targets to reduce their collective environmental impact. The alliance will develop sustainable solutions such as global digital backbone for emission transparency and avoidance, sustainable fuel deployment and engine stand management solutions. The companies say the initiative is expected to reduce engine supply chain related Scope 3 emissions in line with aviation industry’s 2050 sustainability targets.

Safran Nacelles, Lufthansa Technik License Agreement
Safran Nacelles and Lufthansa Technik signed a license agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Airbus A320neo’s Leap-1A nacelles. It says the collaboration will allow Lufthansa Technik to carry out warranty tasks, repairs and modifications on behalf of Safran Nacelles and enable it to offer customers spare availability from OEM stock locations and MRO services.

ATR, Swiss AS Partnership Agreement
ATR and Swiss Aviation Software signed a partnership agreement to further improve the digitalization of airline maintenance management. The companies say the collaboration is the first of its kind between an aircraft manufacturer and MRO software, with the companies partnering to improve the integration of ATR maintenance data into the AMOS software. The companies says the aim is to enable airlines to digitize their maintenance management in the most efficient way.

AJW, Honeywell Aerospace Expand Sole Distribution Agreement
AJW Group and Honeywell Aerospace extended their worldwide sole distribution agreement for the global sales of 29 new avionics products for Boeing 787 aircraft and to include five additional mechanical products. Under the agreement, AJW will be the sole aftermarket distributor for all Honeywell 787 mechanical and avionics line replacement units. The agreement covers initial provisioning and ongoing purchasing requirements for all operators and integrated service providers worldwide. The expanded distribution list covers parts such as inertial reference units, flight control modules, global navigation satellite systems antennas and active clearance control valves.

GE Aerospace, AJW System Service Agreement
GE Aerospace signed an agreement with AJW Group to support avionics and electrical power systems for Boeing 777, 737 and Airbus A320, A330 and A340 aircraft. The contract will start this year and the company will provide services at its facility in Cheltenham, UK. The agreement covers all of AJW’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) customers that operate the aircraft types.

L3Harris, OEMServices Expand Contract
L3Harris Technologies expanded a contract with OEMServices to provide pilot training equipment more rapidly with lower costs to the airlines and pilot training centers. Under the new agreement, OEMServices will maintain spare parts for simulators and training devices at its facilities in Shanghai and Atlanta by the mid-2023, and at its Dubai, Paris and Singapore facilities by the end of 2023.

OEMServices, AerCap Materials A380 Program Expansion
OEMServices and AerCap Materials have signed a multi-year component lease agreement providing inventory lease services for pool access support deployed by OEMServices. Through this agreement and with the support of major OEMs, OEMServices Original Integrated Services will continue to provide the pool access services for its major Airbus A380 customers from Dubai.

Satair, BASF Sign Exclusive Distribution Agreement
Satair and BASF signed an agreement covering the global distribution of BASF ozone converters and ozone volatile organic compounds converters for commercial aircraft. In addition to distribution, the agreement also covers repair administration services, making Satair the only provider of BASF repair services and factory new components worldwide.

Tarmac Aerosave Signs Drone Inspection Agreement
Tarmac Aerosave signed an agreement with Donecle to develop drone-based solutions for fuselage and engine inspection. After a successful test on narrowbody aircraft at Tarmac Aerosave’s facility in Toulouse-Francazal, the companies say they are now looking to expand the applications to outdoor inspections and widebody aircraft.

AMETEK MRO Drake Air Hughes-Treitler Integration
Ametek MRO Drake Air announced it has integrated repair capabilities as an authorized repair center for all Ametek Aerospace & Defence Hughes-Treitler’s commercial and military products. Following this agreement, Drake Air is approved to solicit repair business globally and with exclusive access to OEM documentation, technical support and materials.

Hydro, Didsbury Broad Partnership
German aircraft support service provider Hydro Systems KGs has partnered with Didsbury Engineering to provide aftermarket customer solutions. The agreement covers civil and defense aviation products and the companies say it further strengthens their positions in the market to better serve customers globally.
