
Engine maintenance will account for the largest share of Canada's commercial aftermarket.
Aviation Week’s 2023 Fleet & MRO Forecast predicts that commercial MRO demand in Canada will represent a value of $17.7 billion for the period 2023-32.
Engine maintenance work has the highest share of around 39%, around $6.8 billion of the total MRO demand in the country. Components and line maintenance both account for 23%, while modification and airframe heavy will see demand around $1.6 billion and $1.2 billion, respectively.
The data shows that C checks and engine overhauls will comprise the largest share of MRO shop visits in Canada for the period 2023-32, at 44% and 34%, respectively.
It is forecast that Canada will see a total demand of 2,748 C checks and 2,102 engine overhaul shop visits for the period 2023-32. Meanwhile, there will be a demand of 776 D checks and 572 engine LLP events in the country over the next decade.
