Reinventing Aerospace Through Early Virtual Integration Of Aircraft Systems
Over the past 40 years, technology has revolutionized aircraft structural concepts, propulsion option and systems architecture in commercial and military aviation, but current development concepts have nearly reached their limit. Radical new technologies and concepts are needed to respond to the industry's many challenges of tomorrow and the future.
It has become increasingly more apparent that as the world becomes more interconnected, the aerospace industry must work together as a whole in order to develop the best air transportation concepts for future generations. The industry needs to reinvent itself. This paper shows how by achieving earlier virtual integration of aircraft systems, this paradigm shift is possible.
