A U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk on a training flight Feb. 15 crashed in Huntsville, Alabama, killing two people on board.

The helicopter is reportedly assigned to the Tennessee Army National Guard, officials told ABC News. Videos emerged showing the helicopter in a free fall for several hundred feet before crashing onto a busy highway. Huntsville Emergency Medical Services told local news station FOX54 that a pair of people were on board the helicopter.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed the helicopter was a UH-60 and that the crash happened at about 3 p.m.

The crash occurred near Redstone Arsenal, a major Army installation. The base said in a statement that it was aware of the incident and is supporting local authorities in their investigation. Initial information showed the aircraft was not connected to the base’s assets.
