GE Capital Aviation Services (Gecas) has announced it plans to acquire helicopter-leasing specialist Milestone Aviation Group in a takeover valued at $1.775 billion. The deal, announced on Oct. 13, is likely to shake up the fledgling helicopter-leasing business that was essentially re-booted in 2010 by the formation of Milestone, led by former NetJets CEO Richard Santulli.
