Power Flow Systems has developed a special for a tuned exhaust system for Beech Aero Club members. If one-to-five members sign up for the tuned exhaust system before Nov. 30, they will receive a $500 reduction of the normal $4,290 price. The first 10 customers will also receive a ceramic coated tailpipe without the normal $200 charge. As more members sign up, the price will continue to decline, the company says. Every five additional orders will lower the cost $100 for all who have signed up.
Erickson was selected to provide helicopter transportation services for the U.S. Coast Guard in Alaska. Under the firm, fixed-price purchase order, Erickson’s Bell 212 helicopters will transport USCG Research and Development Center staff and equipment to various locations in the Nome, Alaska, area through the end of August. The work began June 13.
Konect Aviation Oregon will become manager of the McMinnville Municipal Airport in Oregon. The company has operated at the airport since 2009. But Konect Aviation only recently became the fixed-base operator, taking over for the previous operator, Cirrus Aviation, on Jan. 1. Konect Aviation offers scenic tours and charter services, fixed-wing flight training and concierge services. In 2017, the city will renovate the airport’s main runway, 04-22, which will close down for work potentially for the entire summer. Konect will build a new FBO office and terminal building.

Airplanes [Docket No. FAA-2015-8467; Directorate Identifier 2014-NM-107-AD; Amendment 39-18541; AD 2016-11-14] The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Fokker Services B.V. Model F.28 Mark 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a design review that revealed no controlled bonding provisions are present on a number of critical locations inside the fuel tanks or connected to the walls of the fuel tanks.
Fokker Services B.V. Airplanes [Docket No. FAA-2015-8137; Directorate Identifier 2014-NM-104-AD; Amendment 39-18561; AD 2016-12-12] The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2008-05-18 R1 for certain Fokker Services B.V. Model F.27 Mark 050, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 700 airplanes. AD 2008-05-18 R1 required revising the Airworthiness Limitations Section (ALS) of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness to incorporate new limitations for fuel tank systems.
BRP-Powertrain GmbH & Co KG Reciprocating Engines [Docket No. FAA-2016-2042; Directorate Identifier 2016-NE-02-AD; Amendment 39-18568; AD 2016-13-04] The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain BRP-Powertrain GmbH & Co KG Rotax 912 F2, 912 F3, 912 F4, 912 S2, 912 S3, 912 S4, 914 F2, 914 F3, and 914 F4 reciprocating engines. This AD requires re-identification of the engine model and concurrent modification of the aircraft to indicate the maximum coolant temperature limit.
Airbus Helicopters (Previously Eurocopter France) Helicopters [Docket No. FAA-2014-0105; Directorate Identifier 2008-SW-58-AD; Amendment 39-18562; AD 2016-12-13] The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2000-05-17 and AD 2001-04-12, which apply to Eurocopter France (now Airbus Helicopters) Model EC120B helicopters. AD 2000- 05-17 and AD 2001-04-12 required repetitive visual checks of the engine-to-main gearbox (MGB) coupling tube assembly (coupling tube) for a crack and replacing any cracked tube with an airworthy tube.
