The number of used business jets for sale in August declined 33% compared to a year ago but rose 2% compared to July figures, according to Jefferies.
Inventory for sale equates to 2.7% of the total fleet with 673 jets for sale, down from 1,008 in August 2021 and 660 in July.
The decline has been across the segments, with heavy jets for sale down 38% compared to a year ago, while light jets for sale are down 31% and medium jets declined 33%, the data shows.
Jets less than seven years out of production are down 27% compared to a year ago, while pricing has risen 20%.
The number of Bombardier business jets for sale declined 39% in August compared to a year ago to 50 aircraft, while list pricing rose 29% during the same period.
Dassault inventories declined 50% with eight aircraft for sale, equating to 1.5% of the active fleet, compared to 3.1% a year ago, while pricing rose 5%.
The number of Embraer business jets for sale decreased 14% compared to a year ago to 30 aircraft, or 2.6% of the active fleet, while pricing rose 26% during the period.
Gulfstream aircraft for sale declined 38% in August, compared to a year ago, to 36 aircraft, or 1.9% of the active fleet, compared to 3.1% a year ago. Pricing, meanwhile, rose 19% compared to a year ago.
Textron Aviation Cessna Citation business jets for sale declined 12% compared to a year ago, or 2.1% of the active fleet, while pricing rose 21%, compared to a year ago and was up 3% compared to July prices.
