XOJet Aviation is refurbishing the older aircraft in its fleet of Challenger 300 and Citation X business jets.

The company expects to upgrade seven Challenger 300 and 10 Citation X aircraft in 2020 with additional units in 2021 and into 2022, said Todd Hattaway, XOJet Aviation senior vice president for maintenance operations.

The Citation Xs will receive new exterior paint, while the Challenger 300s will get new paint, seats, carpet, cabinets, trim, pocket doors and TCAS 7.1 upgrades, Hattaway said, adding: “The project is pretty significant. It’s a lot of investment.”

Upgrading a Challenger 300 with new paint and interior refurbishment takes 35-45-days, Hattaway said. The Challenger 300s will be repainted to align with the silver-with-red-stripe look of VistaJet’s Challenger 350s. VistaJet and XOJet are part of VistaJet Global Holdings.

The company is also looking at adding Cobalt wireless charger modules into the aircraft.

The Citation Xs are mostly 12-19 years old, while the majority of the Challenger 300s are 10 or more years old, Hattaway said. XOJet is working with an unnamed maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for the work.
