Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).

Trading of Thai Airways’ shares was suspended Aug. 14 after auditors declined to sign off on the carrier’s 2020 first half (H1) statements, citing “material uncertainty” from the lack of liquidity and mounting debts which may affect the value of assets and liabilities.
