Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
Speaking at the AviationWeek Asia Aerospace Leadership Forum, the Executive Vice President of Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) said the country has “tremendous interest” in eVTOL development.
AirAsia has received an approval from Danajamin Nasional for a loan of up to MYR500 million ($120 million) under a government aid package known as the Danajamin Prihatin Guarantee Scheme.
