LONDON—London Luton Airport is aiming to clamp down on excessive noise late at night over the peak summer period, after it breached its night-time noise contour limits. The airport, which is situated some 35 miles north of central London, is the home of LCC easyJet and handles a high percentage of LCC and charter flights. It has experienced rapid growth in flight numbers—up 37% in the past five years. It handled 15.8 million passengers on 135,000 flights in 2017.
