Aaron Karp has covered aviation since 1999. Based in Washington, D.C. he is an Aviation Week Network contributing editor, focusing on airline network development, airports, air cargo and sustainability. His writing has appeared in a wide range of aviation publications covering topics including airlines, aviation public policy, vertical flight, business aviation and future technology. Karp previously served as managing editor of Air Cargo World magazine and editor-in-chief of Aviation Daily. He began his journalism career in the mid-1990s working for syndicated columnist Jack Anderson.
More than 300 Frontier employees are expected to be stationed at CLE, including up to 110 pilots, 250 flight attendants and 50 aircraft maintenance personnel.
The cuts mean that 21 of 42 destinations (both year-round and seasonal) to which American Airlines has been flying from Austin will be dropped in early 2024.
