Gallery: Air France unveils new long-haul 777 business seat

The 48 spacious seats in the cabin are based on the 3 “Fs”: Full Flat, meaning that the seat transforms into a real bed almost 2 meters long; Full Access, providing all passengers direct access to the aisle; and Full Privacy, ensuring optimal privacy. The seat cushions are softer to ensure passengers cross time zones without fatigue.

A sliding door allows passengers to create a totally private space, out of sight from the other passengers in the cabin. To create a greater sense of privacy for passengers travelling together, the seats located in the center of the cabin are now equipped with a central panel that can be lowered by pressing it down, thus creating a convivial space in which to make the most of the flight together.

The seat also features a wide 17.3-inch 4K High-Definition anti-glare screen. A new, state-of-the-art graphic interface available in 12 languages makes it easy to choose from a wide variety of programs. More than 350 films are available, including a large selection of French movies, as well as TV series, documentaries, music and podcasts.

Passengers can either use the airline’s noise-reducing headset or a new Bluetooth connection so they can use their personal headphones.

As passengers are seated, they are greeted by a backlit winged seahorse, embodying the company’s founding myth and rich history. The seat’s padding adds softness and a feeling of coziness. Wool, brushed aluminum, full-grain French leather are the noble, soft and natural materials chosen by Air France for the manufacture of its seats. Each seat is also embroidered with the company’s trademark red accent.

The business-class seats are made in France, in collaboration with Safran Seats, Design Investment and SGK Brandimage.

The newly refitted 777 cabins will feature 48 business class, 48 premium economy and 273 economy seats and will be progressively rolled out from September 2022.
