AMERICAN reached agreement with Boeing to defer/convert five 787-8s to 787-9s for delivery in 2023; 14 787-8s are now scheduled to occur by end 1Q22. It also exercised its remaining deferral rights on 18 737 MAXs from 2021-2022 to 2023-2024.
