The 20th World Route Development forum will take place in Chicago, Illinois from 20- 23 September, forming the essential global gathering for aviation professionals.
The event, which is in its 20th year, will be co-hosted by Chicago Department of Aviation Authority (CDA) and Choose Chicago, the city’s tourism organisation and is expected to attract over 3000 delegates, 800 airports and 200 tourism authorities including key air service development decision makers from across the world.
This year, to mark the 20th Anniversary of World Routes, and the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Chicago Convention, there will be a range of celebrations taking place to mark these special occasions.
As World Routes turns 20 the organisers are committed to improving the event for all attendees with new additions to this anniversary event including Sunday and stand face-to-face meetings, offering delegates increased opportunities to meet and discuss route development. Further improvements implemented for Chicago include a redesigned summit programme presenting attendees with more opportunities to hear from aviation leaders from across the globe and an extensive programme of Route Exchange Briefings.
World Routes will be held at McCormick Place, the largest convention facility in the Western Hemisphere. With the most diverse economy in the United States, and home to several of the aviation industry’s leading companies, making Chicago the perfect home for World Routes 2014.
