Top tips to prepare for Routes Europe

Routes Europe is just five weeks away so to ensure you’re well prepared for the event we’ve put together this check list so you can make sure you don’t forget anything vital!

Pre-Scheduled Meetings

Scheduling for this year’s Routes Europe will close on Thursday 2nd April, just four weeks from now! If your delegate package includes a diary of pre-scheduled meetings and you haven’t made your requests yet make sure you get them in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as diaries are filling up fast!

The online Meeting Requests System allows delegates with an entitlement of pre-arranged meetings to log-in and submit their requests online. To begin requesting meetings, delegates should follow the below steps:

  • Registeror Log-In to your free personal networking profile
  • Enter yourPRC (Personal Registration Code), which you should have received when you registered, into the box displayed on the homepage, ensuring you have selected Routes Europe on the slider
  • Click ‘Submit PRC’ and you will be directed to your meeting request page.

Draft diaries will be available to view online through the Meeting Requests System from Wednesday 25th March which will allow all delegates to view the status of their meetings and assist in their preparations.

Preparing for your Meetings

The system also provides delegates with the perfect platform to prepare for their meetings at Routes Europe as, during the requesting process, access to Routesonline company profiles is available helping delegates select the right companies to meet with by providing all the information Routesonline has to offer straight to the central meeting requests page.

Company profiles on Routesonline can provide you with a wealth of information about the company you’re meeting with. Make sure your own company profile is kept up to date and start connecting with other delegates on Routesonline in the weeks leading up to the event. Initiate new, or continue existing dialogue with prospective customers ahead those all important meetings, whether pre-arranged or not, which will take place in Aberdeen.

Routes Europe App

Available to download soon, the Routes Europe App will ensure that all essential information is available at the touch of a button. The App will once again provide easy access to the event floorplan, airline table locations, meeting diary access, delegate listings, speaker profiles, city guide and social media links along with private messaging functionality.

Also new for this year, is our Electronic Extra Meeting System. In addition to our paper based system, the new electronic system will be digital and accessible via the official Routes App. This system will give delegates real-time updates about meeting requests as well as improving the speed of acceptance for requests and adding them straight into your meeting diary.

Further details about the Routes App and how to download it will be sent to all registered delegates prior to the event.

Hotel & Flight Information

If you have not yet secured your flights and hotel reservation, you should do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This year’s event will be held at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre (AECC) which is only ten minutes away from the city centre and linked to one of our event hotels, the Holiday Inn.

There are many hotels to choose from in Aberdeen but, during Routes Europe, we recommend staying in one of our preferred hotels where Routes Europe delegates will benefit from preferential rates. All hotels are located within a 25 minute drive of the event venue and it is recommended you book early to avoid disappointment.

Visa Requirements

Make sure you have all the necessary documentation to travel to the UK. Visas must be obtained prior to arrival and all visitors to the UK require a visa with the exception of citizens of Australia, Canada, USA and other EU countries. Further information regarding which visas can be found here.

In addition to the visa application form, relevant fees and photos, embassies may also require a letter of invitation from the inviting company. Delegates requiring such a document from our host, Aberdeen City & Shire, should complete the electronic request form in full ensuring accuracy throughout.
