This week voting for the second regional heat of the 2015 Routes Awards opened, two months earlier than in previous years, and airlines from within the Asia-Pacific region are being asked to consider the efficient use of marketing activities by an airport or destination over the last 12 months when deciding who to nominate.
Winners of the awards, which recognise the marketing performance of airports and tourism authorities within the Asia-Pacific region, will be announced during the Routes Asia Networking Evening which will be held on Monday 16th March 2015 at the event in Kunming.
The annual Routes awards are highly regarded as the most prestigious awards in the industry as they are voted for and judged by the airline network planning community. They provide the airline community with the chance to have their say as to which airport they think provides the best overall marketing services to them ensuring that the most effective campaigns are rewarded for their hard work and dedication to route development.
When voting airlines should consider key elements such as market research, communication, presentations for market opportunities, campaigns with third parties and innovative use of technologies and techniques, visit our dedicated awards pages for more information.
These much sought after awards are a great way for the winning airports to have a credible recognition which they can proudly talk about to their customers and other stakeholders. Abu Dhabi International Airport was announced as the winner of the 2014 Asia heat and speaking at the time Abu Dhabi Airports’ CEO, Tony Douglas said: “It is a great honour to receive the Routes Marketing Award for Asia. This accolade only adds to the growing significance of Abu Dhabi International Airport as a state-of-the-art growing transportation hub in the Asian region. The award is a result of the commitment of our airport team and airline partners in providing our passengers with the highest levels of services. It also motivates us to continue developing and enhancing our facilities and products to ensure we provide a unique travel experience to all segments of passengers whether arriving, departing or transiting through Abu Dhabi International Airport.”
The overall winner of the Routes Asia Awards 2015 will be automatically shortlisted, along with the winners of the other regional heats taking place throughout the year at all other Routes events, for the World Routes 2015 Awards which will be announced in Durban next September.
