Routes Americas 2014, taking place 23-25 February in San Salvador, attracts the highest level of senior decision makers and, following an announcement last December, the event now also incorporates Network USA, creating a single definitive event platform for all those interested in meeting with the industry's key players to discuss air service development to, from and within the entire Americas region
The 7th Routes Americas event, now only three weeks away, is expected to attract representation from over 70 airlines, 200 airports and over 30 tourism authorities along with a number of other industry stakeholders from across the Americas to discuss air service development.
Currently over 49 airlines, represented by senior delegations, have confirmed their attendance at the event in San Salvador including LATAM Airlines who will be representing all of their subsidiaries (LAN Airlines, LAN Peru, LAN Ecuador, LAN Argentina, LAN Colombia, LAN Express, TAM Linhas Aereas, TAM Paraguay and Pantanal Linhas Aereas). Other carriers who have confirmed their attendance include COPA, Avianca, British Airways, Allegiant Air, AeroMexico, Gol Transportes Aereos, Iberia Airlines and representation from all four major US carriers (American Airlines, US Airways, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines).
Airlines attending their inaugural Routes Americas event this year include Air Europa, who are ranked in the top 5 carriers between Europe and Latin America operating almost 6% of total capacity between the two regions, Enerjet and Cape Air. The complete attendee list can be found here.
Almost 140 airport delegates representing over 150 airports have also registered to attend the event to date. During the last few weeks new registrations have been received from a number airports and tourism authorities including Mineta San José International Airport, Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport, Campinas Viracopos Airport and Brasilia International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport who will all attend Routes Americas for the first time along with Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport and Tucson Airport Authority who will make their inaugural appearance at a Routes event. Other recent registrations have come from Jamaica Tourist Board, Puerto Rico Airports Authority, PROEXPORT Colombia, Philadelphia International Airport and Cayman Islands Airports Authority.
In addition to the Face-to-Face Meetings which form the core of the event Routes Americas will open with the ALTA Routes Americas Strategy Summit and will include a programme of five Route Exchange Airline Briefings. Many high level industry speakers will take part in the Strategy Summit including the El Salvador Minister of Tourism and Executive Director of ALTA along with airline CEOs and other experts in the field.
This year, the event will see Route Exchange Airline Briefings from InterCaribbean Airways; the newly rebranded Air Turks & Caicos, Cayman Islands based start-up BlueSky Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Southwest along with a Niche Market Airline Briefing jointly delivered by TAG, Tropic Air, and CM Airlines.
Route Exchange Airline Briefings are exclusively open to attending airport and tourism authority delegates. Held in private theatres on the show floor and delivered by senior network planners, Route Exchange Airline Briefings provide delegates with an opportunity to gain an insight into their target & current airline partners’ business. They are the only place to further develop your understanding of the route planning function of airlines. Briefings also provide an opportunity for attending airports to gain an overview of the carriers, hear a valuable update on the opportunities the airline feels are out there and gain an understanding of how decision makers at airlines see the market place.
The packed event programme also includes many opportunities for delegates to network at the various social events taking place including the Host Welcome Reception and San Salvador Networking Evening. Register Now to meet with your targets from across the region at Routes Americas 2014.
