Airline Advertising In The 60s

Airline advertising during the ‘Mad Men’ era in the 1960s wasn’t always factually or politically correct, but it was competitive. All of the major airlines of the time regularly graced the pages of Aviation Week & Space Technology with full-page adverts staking their claim to the best service aboard the latest jet plane, the latest ‘first’ or the longest steak in the air.  We’ve dug up a few of our favorites from the Aviation Week archives.
