1966 Lockheed SST Advertisement
Unfortunately for the child pictured in this advertisement, he would never get to experience supersonic travel on 'America's SST' - the L-2000. The ad was placed in Aviation Week & Space Technology in 1967, before Lockheed lost the contract for the government-funded competition to Boeing's 2707, which was subsequently canceled for economic reasons.
