HOUSTON—Aegis Aerospace Inc. has announced that Dan Gallton, a space physicist and retired U.S. Space Force colonel, has joined the Houston-based company as vice president for strategic market development.
Gallton will also be in charge of establishing the firm’s Washington regional office.
Gallton retired as division chief of the Science and Engineering Division of the Air Force Research Lab/Air Force Office of Scientific Research following a 25-year career in the U.S. Air Force and Space Force. He gained management and leadership experience in domestic and international science and technology, space superiority, and satellite procurement, development, operations, policy and launch.
Two-year-old Aegis Aerospace, an Hispanic woman-owned small business, was formed through the merging of Alpha Space and MEI Technologies as a technical services provider to government and commercial customers in the space and defense industries.
